Kryptoměny

Kryptoměny, or cryptocurrencies in English, are a form of digital or virtual currency that uses cryptography for security. They are decentralized and typically based on blockchain technology, which is a distributed ledger enforced by a network of computers (nodes). Cryptocurrencies operate independently of a central bank or government, making them immune to government interference or manipulation.

The most well-known cryptocurrency is Bitcoin, but there are thousands of other cryptocurrencies with various features and functions, including Ethereum, Ripple, and Litecoin. Cryptocurrencies enable peer-to-peer transactions, allowing users to send and receive payments without the need for an intermediary, such as a bank.

Transactions made with cryptocurrencies are recorded on a public ledger, ensuring transparency and fraud prevention. The security and anonymity of cryptocurrency transactions are provided by cryptographic algorithms, which makes it difficult for unauthorized parties to alter transaction details or create counterfeit coins.

Kryptoměny have gained popularity as a form of investment and as a means of transferring value across borders quickly and with lower fees compared to traditional financial systems. However, their price volatility and regulatory challenges raise concerns among investors and governments alike.
